The hotel was the recipient of the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award in October 2012, making it the only hotel in Quebec to receive this designation and one of just four in Canada.

The Ritz-Carlton Montreal has 98 guest rooms and 31 suites. The Royal Suite, at 4,700 sq. ft, is the largest hotel suite in Montreal. The guest rooms feature high-tech amenities, such as intuitively remembering a guest’s temperature preferences upon check-in, and motion sensors that activate lights to guide guests in a darkened room.

Guests of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal have access to a wealth of amenities – dining at Maison Boulud, enjoying afternoon tea in the hotel’s impeccable garden, working out at the gym or lounging in the Palm Court. Nearby, Montreal’s nightlife, boutiques and galleries, sporting events, theatre and other cultural attractions beckon. The hotel is in the heart of Montreal’s best shopping district, where guests can find all the best international brands. Guests can even shop at the famed Tiffany & Co., which opened its 2000 sq. ft. boutique just below the Ritz-Carlton Residences.

Fine dining has been synonymous with the Ritz-Carlton Montreal since the turn of the century. Today, famed chef Daniel Boulud’s Maison Boulud puts a modern spin on traditional French culinary tradition with a particular focus on local ingredients and artisanal Quebecois products. The chic and elegant Maison Boulud was designed as a counterpoint to the more traditional areas of the hotel by the innovative design team Super Potato who are internationally renowned for their cutting edge restaurant design.

The rooftop saltwater pool is heated with reclaimed energy from the hotel’s kitchen. Stunning views of the Montreal skyline can be seen from inside or on the terrace and guests can also relax inside the sauna.

Overview of the capacities of The Ritz-Carlton Montreal

Holding a meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal makes a statement. From the moment attendees enter the magnificent lobby until they find themselves in stately meeting rooms flooded with natural light, they will know that this is not an average meeting venue. For the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, meetings have always been an important part of the business mix, with some annual meetings taking place consistently for a century. In the restoration of the hotel, the corporate client was a top priority, and the spaces are not only capable of catering to meetings large and small, they each have distinct characteristics. The one thing that all the meeting rooms have in common, however, is state-of-the-art technology and a staff that is dedicated to making every event memorable, creative and successful. Once the presentations are done, meetings are catered by the hotel’s meticulous chef and his staff who are trained to cater to all dietary needs including fully-kosher, or vegetarian.

The hotel’s 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting space are incredibly flexible, offering meeting planners the ability to host formal board meetings for 12 people, larger meetings for 35 to 75 or a gala dinner for up to 350.

The function spaces include:

 The Oval Room: Perhaps the grandest space at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, the Oval Room was restored by artisans who hand painted the finishes to a level of detail that is rarely seen. The Oval Room is intended for elite corporate events and gala dinners. A small stage can be equipped with a speaking podium or used as a band space. The Oval Room can hold 150 people in a classroom style for meetings or 220 for dinners and dances.

 The Ritz and Carlton Rooms: These two separate, interconnecting rooms are versatile spaces for 35 persons each, and are original to the 1912 hotel.

 The Gold and Grey Rooms: These two rooms are perfect for simultaneously hosting meetings and luncheons. The Gold Room can host 75 for a meeting, followed by a lunch for 75 in the adjoining Grey Room.

To ensure that meeting planners have everything they need to get the job done, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal’s event spaces offer high-tech presentation equipment including screens, projectors and other audio/visual gear. Hotel event planners are available to work with every meeting need and preference.
