The BEST WESTERN PLUS Sands is proud to have earned a 4 Green-Key rating from the hotel Association of Canada, and is only the second hotel in Canada to adopt a Zero-Waste program. A $1.00 Enviro-Fee will apply on all room nights to help offset the cost of this program. We are a pet friendly hotel. If you require additional assistance, such as "pet sitting" for your pet, the BEST WESTERN PLUS Sands is happy to recommend Hot Diggity Dogs or Urban Tails. They are happy to arrange a service best suited to your needs and the needs of your pets.

The Best Western Plus Sands Hotel is pleased to offer numerous possibilities for your event needs.We have a slew of conference facilities available that will adequately accommodate anything from 10 people to 150 people in various room arrangements.
Our rooms comfortably fit weddings, meetings, conferences and private meetings. All of our rooms come with catering and full service options. This includes three course meals, buffet as well as bar service.
