The old city house has a long history to look back on and has now, after a five year reconstruction phase, turned into a unique hotel. The historic building was used as a convent and seat of government. The property ensemble adjoins the baroque “Andreas church”, the burial vault of the popular elector Johann Wilhelm. He was married to the eponym of our hotel, Anna Maria Luisa de Medici. The owner has set a memorial, which leads to the display of his private art collection throughout the building. Situated in the heart of the old town of Düsseldorf, the Rhine River, the popular “Königsallee” as well as the famous German opera lie in walking distance to the Derag Livinghotel De Medici.
