Villa Sophienhöhe was built in 1899 by the landowner Josef Bollig zu Schneppenheim and his wife Sophia, née Stollwerk, from the Aachen / Cologne family of manufacturers (chocolate dynasty) on the occasion of their wedding. As a manor house from the Wilhelminian era, the villa belonged to Gut Burg Niederbolheim and Antoniterhof in Niederbolheim. The mansion and the street were later named after the nickname of the wife Sophia.
The Villa Sophienhöhe has been accessible to the general public since 1999 and has since shone in new splendor as a restaurant and hotel.
The Villa Sophienhöhe invites you to dream and enjoy. We are looking forward to your visit.
